Business Improvement District

The BID was formed in 1993, by authority of WI Statutes 66.698. The Board of Directors annually prepares an Operating Plan which includes development, redevelopment, maintenance, operation and promotion of the business improvement district. The Common Council must review and adopt the Plan, which includes the method of funding for the BID projects. The Board’s Annual Reports are available to the public on request.
The Board is currently comprised of ten members, a majority of whom must own property in the BID. Appointments to the staggered terms are made by the Mayor and confirmed by the Common Council.
