Lee Uhrhammer called to order a regular meeting of the City of
Police
Chief Paul Lindholm presented the February Police Report to Council.
Fire
Chief Dale Anderson presented the February Fire Department Report to Council

Darrell
Anderson moved to approve claims, seconded by Debra Points, roll call vote, 4
ayes, motion passed.
The
Minutes of the January 11, 2005 Cemetery Board Meeting were presented for
Council’s information.
UW River Falls will be holding a Gateway Workshop the end of March with each attending team focusing on a specific area of their community, a team from the City of St Croix Falls will concentrate on the River Street Corridor. It is proposed that the City cover the workshop costs $49.00 per person for up to 7 people from the City to attend. A grant to cover the cost of overnight accommodations has been applied for, if denied the participants will either cover the room cost themselves or commute.
The Park & Rec Committee has been endeavoring to establish a guide to work by. They propose that committee membership be increased from 5 to 7 with 1 and 2-year terms and that meetings be at 1 pm on the third Monday of every month. Questions brought up included whether terms should be staggered, if 7 members may be too many, would a 1 pm meeting time work for all members, should members be residents of the City, should there be a Councilperson on the committee, and how often do they need to meet? Questions and suggested changes will be sent back to the Parks & Rec Committee.
Darrell Anderson moved to table Adoption of Park & Rec Committee By-Laws & Procedures to the March 28, 2005, Council Meeting, seconded by Debra Points, voice vote, motion passed.
Contract with Midwest Testing for services to install meters and radio transmitters with the addition that the contractor provide names and identification for all employees who will be working within the City, and that all said employees pass a criminal background check.
Dan Meyers moved to approve the contract with Midwest Testing with the addition of item 9 for background checks, seconded by Darrell Anderson, roll call vote, 4 ayes, motion passed.
